Nani, Ashley Young, Antonio Valencia, hell even Kagawa can be thrown into the mix.  At one stage it sounded like the pick of the litter for wingers in the English Premier League. We have defensive issues, there was outcry that SAF should’ve signed a strong central midfielder, but at least our wide men were sorted.

Time For Change: Giggs, the Back Four, and Stubborn Manchester United

Before I get started, I have to commend Tottenham for their performance against United on the weekend, especially in the first half.  They’re starting to click and really mesh together, adapting to AVB’s coaching style and looking like a proper threat again. The likes of Bale, Vertonghen, Lennon, and even ol’ Defoe upstaged United in their own home, and most importantly for the Red Devils, they (hopefully) opened the eyes of SAF and his team, elucidating which areas on the pitch need serious attention.

Who Should They Sign? Final Week Transfers in the EPL

Ahhh…..football is back! What an opening day we had, watching some of the big boys fall flat and some of the smaller teams turn heads, filling their fans with delusional, soaring hopes for the season.  With just over a week to go until the Summer transfer window is closed, most teams need will be looking to fill some preexisting holes, as well as some new ones which were exposed last weekend.  We’ll have a look at some of the more likely rumours, and who they should be going for.  The more chance of moves happening, the more I’ll ramble.

EPL Preview: For Better or Worse- The Top 6

Whether you’ve been celebrating your team’s fortunes, depressed by your team’s shortcomings, or you were too distracted with Euro 2012 and the Olympics to notice it was even gone, football is back this weekend! Players, managers, and supporters alike, share the same hopeful feeling on opening day.  The slates are clean, the table is even, and anyone can win it, at least in their slightly deluded minds.  So before the opening day kicks off, I figured I would share my thoughts on how the top 6 (based on last season’s standings) are shaping up, and hopefully contribute even the slightest bit to building your excitement for the upcoming season. Obviously deadline day is still two weeks away, so there are bound to be some changes, so I’ll do my best to account for them.
